Nigerian tapas restaurant Chuku’s is hosting an Afrobeats & Lit Brunch in celebration of World Book Day. Bringing together Nigerian flavours, music and literature, the brunch includes a set offer of three sharing plates and three drinks for £40 a person (a saving of up to 40% off the usual bill). As well as an Afrobeats DJ providing the soundtrack, the book swap will give you a chance to explore Nigerian literature, with Chuku’s curating a selection including Grace by Chika Unigwe, Cursed Daughters by Oyinkan Braithwaite, and an exclusive early look at I. O. Echeruo’s debut novel The Comfort of Distant Stars. All you need to do to take part in the book swap is bring along a Nigerian author you love and you can leave with something new.
