Emerging singer Alora is set to release a new interpretation of the jazz standard “Fly Me to the Moon” alongside artist and producer Thomas Stonewell, in a recording that also marks a career milestone for the Stonewell Productions founder.
Scheduled for worldwide release on September 15, 2026, the track will be Alora’s third official release and, according to official distribution records (Spotify, YouTube Music, Tidal etc.), Stonewell’s 50th release in a producer capacity.
The recording was initially conceived as a conventional duet, with Alora and Atomm sharing the vocal parts more evenly. That approach changed during production after Alora recorded her lead performance.
Atomm, whose legal name is Thomas Stonewell, ultimately moved his own vocals into a supporting role, leaving Alora as the principal voice of the recording.
The decision also reflects the mentoring approach Stonewell says he has adopted with Alora through Aurora Creative Studio (ACS), the youth creative-development initiative operated by Stonewell Productions.
“Alora has been a shining star from the beginning, with clear promise and talent,” Stonewell said. “She’s a self-directed artist who doesn’t need much help deciding which direction to take.”
He added that his role has increasingly focused on providing the production environment and resources required for Alora to develop her own ideas rather than determining those ideas for her.
“Rather than telling her what or how to create, we’ve focused on providing the professional background and technology she needs to pursue her goals,” Stonewell said.
A Third Release in Less Than a Year
The collaboration comes as Aurora Creative Studio enters its third mentoring year, while Alora herself has been part of the programme for less than a year.
Her progress during that period has moved beyond mentoring sessions and development work into commercially distributed recordings. “Fly Me to the Moon” will become her third official release.
ACS began as a grassroots creative initiative and has since been restructured as a private mentorship programme operated by Stonewell Productions. Its stated model focuses on providing young creatives with mentorship, production resources and access to professional infrastructure while encouraging them to develop an individual artistic identity.
Alora’s development provides an early example of that approach. Rather than remaining solely a performer within producer-led projects, she is beginning to make decisions about her own repertoire, releases and artistic direction.
Alora Already Looking Beyond the Duet
Even before the release of “Fly Me to the Moon”, Alora is working on her next project.
The singer says she is developing an original Christmas song titled “A Little Time Offline,” which she intends to release independently as a standalone single rather than as part of a larger seasonal collection.
“This upcoming release of ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ is a truly special milestone for me, but I also have a clear vision for what comes next,” -Alora said.
“I’m currently working on a Christmas song called ‘A Little Time Offline,’ which I’ve decided to release as a standalone single. I feel the track has such a unique vibe and authentic message that it deserves its own space rather than being grouped with other songs.”
She added that maintaining control over the identity of her future releases has become increasingly important.
“Moving forward, my priority is to make sure every release reflects the exact artistic vision I want to stand behind.”
That shift toward greater creative independence is particularly relevant to the story behind “Fly Me to the Moon.” What began as an evenly balanced duet ultimately became a recording built around the younger artist’s performance, with the more experienced producer deliberately taking the secondary vocal position.
For Stonewell, the timing gives the release an additional significance. His 50th production credit is being marked not by placing himself at the centre of the recording, but by using the collaboration to showcase an emerging artist at an early stage of her recording career.
