This Friday, September 27 at 12:00, tickets go on sale to see the New Year’s fireworks here in London.

Every new year is welcomed in London with a fireworks show that is among the most spectacular in the world. In this link you can see a video of the London fireworks in the new year of 2016, so you can get an idea of the spectacle.

The event takes place on the River Thames, at the height of the Ferris wheel (London Eye). The fireworks are launched from several barges positioned on the river and also from the circular structure of the London Eye. The show begins just after the 12 chimes of Big Ben, which is located in the same area, end.

Until 5 years ago, anyone could attend the event for free. But since 2014 they turned the show into a paid event. That is to say that now to be able to see the London New Year’s Eve fireworks you have to buy tickets.

Tickets for the fireworks cost £10 per person and only up to 4 can be purchased per transaction. If you need more than 4 tickets you have to ask another person (who will be present that night) to buy them.

The area where the fireworks are seen is divided into several areas. When purchasing tickets you have to choose the area you want to be in to see them.

For those of you who don’t know London very well or for those of you who aren’t very clear about which area may be the best to see the fireworks, below we give you the list of the different areas in order from best to worst.

-Blue area: This area is on the sidewalk opposite the London Eye, right in front of the fireworks.

-White area: This area is on Westminster Bridge, along with the blue area this is the best location to see the fireworks.

-Green area: This area is behind the London Eye, some distance away.

-Pink area: This area is at Waterloo Bridge. Although this town offers uninterrupted views (by trees or buildings) it is a bit far from the London Eye and the barges from which the fireworks are launched.

-Red area (red area): This area is on the opposite sidewalk from the London Eye, but much further to the east. This is the “worst” of the locations because it is further away and because there are several trees and a bridge with cables that partially obstruct the view.

If you are planning to spend New Year’s Eve here in London, in our opinion this is the best plan for that night. Normally people celebrate the arrival of the new year in bars, pubs, restaurants and clubs, which usually sell out weeks in advance. If you can’t book something you won’t find much to do that night.

For this reason, fireworks are a great entertainment option on New Year’s Eve. So it is best to secure your tickets as soon as possible.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 12:00 noon.

This is the link to the page where you can buy tickets for the London fireworks: https://www.london.gov.uk/events/2019-12-31/london-new-years-eve-fireworks-2019

We hope you can buy them!
