The cost of living crisis has made the weekly shop more of a chore than ever. On top of a shopping list, it now requires a calculator and some seriously savvy tricks to keep the bill under £100.
Luckily, you can knock a healthy amount of pounds off your shop when you do it through Ocado. They’ve gracefully knocked 25 per cent off a shop for first-time shoppers as long as you spend over £60.
They’ve also thrown in three months of free delivery. The discount means if you spend £60, you’ll only be paying £45 – all you need to do is use the code VOU8132248 at checkout. You may get a personalised code when you create an account, and it’ll appear in bright yellow at the top of your screen.

I usually do my weekly shop in Tesco, so I’ve compared my usual shop with an Ocado one . To make it fair, I’ve gone for the exact same big brand names in both shops when possible to make the basket identical, and elsewhere I’ve opted for own-brand.
The only delivery slot available from Tesco to Limehouse in the next week was 3pm to 4pm on Friday, April 11. That slot cost £6, while Ocado’s was free as per their offer.

After adding everything I’d usually get in a shop – fruits, veg, chicken, bacon, pasta, cheese, yoghurt, cream, toilet roll, loo roll, and more – my basket on Ocado added up to £69.38 while in Tesco, it was £68.15.
With Ocado’s offers, I’d saved £4.25 while my Clubcard has sliced off only £2.85. While checking out, Ocado also surprised me with a free gift, letting me pick between a tea towel and a wooden spoon. And they reminded me of their huge 50 per cent off sale.
After Ocado’s discount, my total hit £54.33, with no additional costs being added and £15.05 saved. At Tesco, my total was £74.15 after adding delivery charges.
With Ocado’s incredible offer, I saved £19.82 on my weekly shop. I wouldn’t necessarily shop at Ocado on a regular basis, but it’s totally worth it with their deal.
