To celebrate its UK release next week (Thursday, November 27), KFC is launching a one-of-a-kind experience: the Hawkins Fried Chicken Hotline. Set to appear in hidden locations across London, Birmingham, and Manchester, this is a free, fully immersive adventure like no other.
What is the Hawkins Fried Chicken Hotline?
Hawkins Fried Chicken Hotline is a cryptic, retro 80s-style phone boxwhere lifting the phone opens the line directly to a live, in-the-round theatrical portalinstantly bringing the world of Stranger Things to life. Crack the secret code (or call in help from the Hawkins Fried Chicken crew), and exclusive menu items await.
You’ll have to act quickly, however, the Hawkins Fried Chicken Hotline won’t stay in one place for long. Just one day in each city, you’ll need to be one of the very first to arrive at the locations in London (November 26), Birmingham (November 28) and Manchester (November 30) or risk the line going dead.
“Our Hawkins Fried Chicken hotline is more than just a KFC x Stranger Things 5 pop-up,” said Phoebe Syms, Brand Manager at KFC UK&I. “It’s a portal into 1987 Hawkins and a way for fans to contact our Hawkins Fried Chicken gang IRL. It’s an immersive blend of ‘80s nostalgia, the world of Stranger Things and, of course…fried chicken.”
