We are seeking a Health and Safety Lead to join our Southampton-based office.

Can you lead health and safety processes and assess risk to ensure compliance and staff safety? Have you investigated incidents and managed occupational trauma risks? Are you experienced in procuring services for facility works? If so, we would love to hear from you!

Your responsibilities will include:

  • developing and maintaining MAIB’s safety management system to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and leading audits as required

  • monitoring and investigating staff incidents and ensuring correct personal protective equipment is used

  • supporting operational staff at accident sites to identify, assess and mitigate risks

  • acting as the responsible person under Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations

  • managing occupational trauma risks, psychological support programmes, vaccination schemes and health and safety training

  • overseeing vehicle fleet management, office safety procedures and contractor procurement for facility works.
