One beauty product has been all over TikTok for months, with celebrity hairdressers and beauty gurus raving about its lasting powers and I had to put it to the test. The COLOR WOW Dream Coat Supernatural Spray claims to create an ‘invisible cloak’ protecting hair from moisture and keeping it weatherproof.
My hair seems to have a mind of its own, and often by the time I reach the office my freshly straightened locks have taken on a shape making me look like I’ve had an electric shock. My hair has that awkward neither curly nor straight texture and a natural state of frizz. The rave reviews made me optimistic this ‘magic’ spray could solve the problem.

Despite the worries this would cause my hair to look and feel greasy, the substance was undetectable after a few spritzes. I wanted to ensure I followed the instructions to test the product properly so after making sure ‘no strand is left untouched’ I began to apply heat.
Heat activates the supernatural powers of the spray, so this isn’t one for when you aren’t styling your hair. I tested it twice using my ghd’s on one occasion and my Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumiser on the other, to see how it works for different do’s.
Both times, it worked wonders. I was in shock at the lack of frizz I had, unaware my hair could look this sleek. Not only did it appear smooth but my locks were left super soft as well.
Braving the unpredictable British weather the mighty spray did its job. My hair didn’t completely play ball but I had majorly less frizz than usual. Although it claims to be ‘weatherproof’ it isn’t quite like your favourite trustworthy coat, you hair will still get wet, but the impact is no way near as much as without it.

In terms of lasting three shampoos, I’m not sure this is the case, as my hair seems to return to its natural state after this number of days. I was absolutely mind blown at its power when I gave myself a blow dry, as usually my roots can look wild and the dream coat kept them in control.
