We’ll drink to that. But not actually drink it.

While New York City is combatting its hand sanitiser shortage by making its own, here in the UK we’ve been left in the dark as to where this thing we’re supposed to be using constantly can actually be sourced.

Step forward Scottish brewery and pub chain, Brewdog. They know a thing or two about alcohol, and have turned their boozy nous into Punk Sanitiser Brewgel. At 60%, it’s punchier than other Brewdog concoctions (even Sink the Bismarck!), and is described as a ‘post modern classic’.

Say hello to Punk Sanitiser 🙌

To help with the shortages, we have just started working on making hand sanitiser at our distillery in Scotland. We are determined to do everything we can to try and help as many people as possible stay safe.

The alcohol gel has been created in Brewdog’s brewery/distillery in Ellon, near Aberdeen in Scotland. Details about when and where the gel will be released are yet to be confirmed — although the plan is to give it away to those who need it most.

Says Brewdog: “Our teams are working as fast as we can to get this out into the world! We’ll keep everyone posted with updates.”

At least someone seems to be doing something about the desperate hand gel situation.

In other Brewdog news, it was recently announced that ‘drive-thru’ beer collection is now available at all its UK bars, including those in London. Anyone got a car we can borrow?
