Almost thirty years ago, The Simpsons made a joke that has left fans hoping it might come true several times over the past few decades. And this year, fans are in for a treat as Cypress Hill and the London Symphony Orchestra reunite for a special performance at the Royal Albert Hall this summer.
In a 1996 episode of The Simpsons, it is revealed that the band Cypress Hill had mistakenly booked the London Symphony Orchestra while under the influence. The clip went on to go viral with fans all over the world but there was never a real hope of the two combining until now.
The 90s hip-hop group will be joined by the London Symphony Orchestra to perform stunning orchestral arrangements of their record Black Sunday as well as some of the band’s most iconic songs. Expect unique versions of ‘Insane in the Brain’ and ‘I Wanna Get High’.
The veteran hip-hop group was a major influence on an entire generation. Cypress Hill has sold more than 20 million albums and Black Sunday has been hailed as one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time.
This will be a one-night performance at the legendary West London concert hall. Priority tickets open at 10:00 AM on March 26, and sales open to the general public on March 27 at 10:00 AM.
