Slipknot have recently announced tour dates to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut album. The American heavy metal group will go on a European and UK headline tour at the end of the year.
The tour starts in Amsterdam and ends at The O2 Arena in London with two special shows on Friday 20th December and Saturday 21st December. The first date is already sold out, with only platinum and resale tickets remaining, but fans can rest assured, tickets are still available for the final concert.
Shawn Crahan, more commonly known by his stage persona Clown, said: “It’s been 25 years since we first played the continent, and we’ve been back ever since. The memories I have from all those times are life-changing, and we’re ready to make more.”
He added: “I’m so excited to bring our 25th anniversary tour to Europe and the UK. Be prepared for an energy you’ve never experienced before, it’s happening.”
Slipknot released their self-titled debut album in 1999, heralding a shift in metal music. Since then, the band has become an international sensation in the heavy metal world and their latest album, ‘The End, So Far’, reached number one in several countries, including the UK.

Slipknot will play The O2 on December 20 and 21. The doors to the venue open at 18.30 both days, and the group is supported by Bleed From Within.

Where to buy Slipknot tickets
There are still tickets available for Slipknot’s second date at The O2. You can get them from Ticketmaster or Live Nation. Some seats are available for £68.70 inclusive in sections 407, 408, 417 and 418 which are in the upper level and at an angle to the stage but they will have a decent view. Other ticket prices are over £90 for seats closer to the stage and over £160 for platinum.
