Much like myself, sunflowers really start to thrive in the summer. Especially during the month of August. And guess what, folks? In what feels like the blink of an eye, the greatest month of the year (in my humble opinion) is mere moments away from rearing its head. And we all know what that means. Get in, Londoners – we’re going sunflower picking. Where, I hear you ask? The Patch MK, of course.

Less than two hours outside of the capital city, you’ll find The Patch MK – one of the largest pick-your-own flower farms in the UK. Boasting a sea of sunflowers (plus a wonderful wildflower field and a whole host of other activities to get stuck into); this picture-perfect paradise makes for a blooming brilliant day outoffering visitors the chance to frolic in the flowers, fill their lungs with some actual fresh air for the first time in far too long, and have some well-needed fun in the sun(flower fields).
Visitors to The Patch MK can expect to find over 500,000 sunflowers scattered around in all their gorgeous, golden glory. Over 30 different varieties of sunflower have been planted, meaning that the bright, beautiful blooms range in shape, size, height, and colour.
