A thrifty woman recently splurged on the ‘most expensive’ Too Good To Go bag – packing over £90 worth of goods for just £15.
The app, which helps prevent food waste, has skyrocketed in popularity in recent years. It gives bargain hunters the chance to buy products nearing their sell-by date at low prices.
The only catch? Customers don’t know what’s in the bags until after they buy them. But this can be quite entertaining because everyone loves a mystery.
She visited Rococo Chocolates in Chelsea, known for ‘London’s finest chocolates and truffles’ and established in 1992. A small box of chocolates there can cost £119, so you can imagine her excitement when she bagged a massive 500g bag of luxury chocolates for a fraction of the price.
“This is the most expensive Too Good to Go bag I’ve ever seen,” she said. Danielle then taste-tested the treats with her partner and showcased all the items she received on TikTok.
As she sped off, she was given a large bag of dark chocolate orange bars, which normally retail for £17. Danielle gushed: “They were absolutely delicious”.
The couple also sampled five salted caramel-flavored bars from the same brand, each adorned with bee prints. “The orange was quite subtle, but the salted really packed the punch and was definitely our favorite – it had a real salty kick,” added Danielle.
She explained that the Too Good To Go bag “will be hard to beat”. Her move also impressed viewers – and the comments poured in.
One person said: “I love Rococo, hopefully when I’m in London I’ll be able to pick up one of these bags.” “Omg so worth it,” said another. “This is amazing,” wrote a third.
Another commenter revealed: “Oh wow, I didn’t even know you could get these from there! My mom loves their chocolate, I’ll definitely have to check it out!”
