So far, three Traitors have been banished, yet three remain following another shock recruitment in last night’s episode.
As viewers have seen, Harry unexpectedly managed to claim a shield during the trial but kept the information to himself and a huddle of close companions, including Molly.
Longest-standing Traitor, Harry, and increasingly influential accomplice Andrew decided to recruit Ross at the end of the episode, with the intention to convince the group that Harry was the subject of an attempted murder.
However, things may not go to plan as the last episode of the third week concluded with Ross secretly conspiring to bring down Harry for ‘murdering’ his real-life mum and fellow contestant, Diane.
The finale air date is now confirmed (just three episodes away), and the clock is ticking to see whether or not a Traitor will take home that grand cash prize.
The season began on Wednesday 3rd January with a new batch of 22 strangers, and host Claudia Winkleman carefully selecting three to be her Traitors.
Another contestant faced the chopping block in last night’s episode, but who was it? Below, we’re keeping tabs on everyone who has left The Traitors season 2 so far, and we’ll be updating the page as the drama continues to ramp up.
Read on for everything you need to know.
Who left The Traitors?
Charlotte – Banished in episode 9

Charlotte will miss out on the final week of Traitors action after she was banished from the castle by her fellow contestants.
The 32-year-old was a close ally of the traitorous Paul and her best friend Charlie was murdered at the start of the episode.
The recruitment manager locked horns with Jasmine throughout the episode, with each contestant throwing the other one into the spotlight for questioning. Ultimately, more people sided with Jasmine on this occasion and faithful Charlotte was shown the door.
Charlie – Murdered in episode 9
![the-traitors-season-2-charlie Charlie for The Traitors season 2. She is wearing a plaid shirt and black t-shirt with her hands on her hips](https://images.immediate.co.uk/production/volatile/sites/3/2024/01/the-traitors-season-2-charlie-7eb46ba.jpg?quality=90&fit=700,466)
Charlie broke the streak of Traitors leaving the castle as treacherous duo of Harry and Andrew returned to murdering ways.
The 34-year-old was left devastated in episode 8 after failing to secure a shield during the trial. The miss came back to haunt her at the first opportunity.
Charlie looked visibly upset after receiving her letter from the Traitors, admitting it was hard to leave the castle without saying goodbye to her new friends.
The mental health area manager, a popular member of the group, was shockingly taken out by the Traitors and Harry began to frame Charlie’s bestie, Charlotte, for the murder.
Paul – Banished in episode 8
![paul Paul for The Traitors season 2. Paul has his back turned with one arm risen](https://images.immediate.co.uk/production/volatile/sites/3/2024/01/paul-f73bcde.jpeg?quality=90&crop=114px,0px,1594px,1062px&fit=700,466)
Paul is the latest Traitor to be banished from the castle, after fellow Traitor Harry made the decision to turn on him.
Former Traitor Miles saw this coming as soon as he was banished, noting that Harry and Paul were going to turn on each other “sooner or later”.
“It’s obvious they are playing for themselves,” he told RadioTimes.com. “So, I think what you’re seeing now is Harry feeling a bit like, ‘Well, I feel like we’re playing your game and I’m not willing to do that all the way through.’
“And I think they’ve both got their own game plan, so I think you might see, sooner or later, they might have to turn on each other. And that’d be really interesting to see.”
Miles – Banished in episode 7
![miles Miles for The Traitors season 2. Miles is wearing a black blazer and white turtleneck as he smiles](https://images.immediate.co.uk/production/volatile/sites/3/2024/01/miles-acb6864.jpeg?quality=90&crop=99px,0px,1594px,1062px&fit=700,466)
As we saw in the beginning episodes, Miles was recruited as the fourth Traitor and for the most part, he was doing a good job. However this all changed when he gave Diane the ‘poisoned’ chalice, to which she finally worked it out and shared her suspicions with Paul.
Paul did not hold back at the roundtable and neither did Miles, with both of them going for one another. In the end, it was Miles who received the most votes and was banished from the castle.
Speaking about his exit, Miles said he feels “good” to have left the show at this point. “I feel like I’ve been there long enough that people knew me, myself as an individual,” he said in a Q&A.
“I was doing alright because I never got mentioned or picked up on leading up to this so, obviously when I came out it was the only time when my name was ever mentioned, so I was doing alright.”
Diane – Murdered in episode 7
![the-traitors-season-2-diane Diane for The Traitors season 2. She is wearing a pink shirt and cream trousers with her hands in her pockets](https://images.immediate.co.uk/production/volatile/sites/3/2024/01/the-traitors-season-2-diane-decb0bf.jpg?quality=90&fit=700,466)
Diane became the latest Faithful to be murdered at the hands of the Traitors, and no one took it lightly. As viewers saw at the end of episode 6, the Traitors had to ‘poison’ a faithful and they chose Diane, with Miles handing her a drink.
During a mission, the Faithfuls had to correctly guess who had been murdered by the Traitors in order to add a huge £7,000 to the cash prize fund. In a ceremony, the Faithfuls laid black roses in the coffin of who they believed had been murdered, and with Diane receiving the most, the players boosted their prize fund.
Speaking in a Q&A about her exit, Diane said it “feels amazing” that she managed to get so far in the competition.
“I really thought I was going out after the three-way tie at the round table,” she explained. “I thought I’d be out the next day, so I have done a lot better than I expected.
“I have loved the challenges, and I would have loved to have more fun with Ross, telling stories about my son and him telling stories about his mum and I would have liked to have stayed on further. I didn’t have to win but I would have definitely liked a few more missions under my belt.”
Anthony – Banished in episode 6
![the-traitors-season-2-anthony Anthony for The Traitors season 2. He is wearing a white t-shirt and waistcoat as he poses](https://images.immediate.co.uk/production/volatile/sites/3/2024/01/the-traitors-season-2-anthony-8d6f8b0.jpg?quality=90&fit=700,466)
The roundtable continued to bring some serious tension as all eyes eventually fell on Anthony who was set up by the Traitors to take the fall following Tracey’s murder. His fellow Faithfuls claimed that he was “clever” at diverting conversations around who is a Traitor and who isn’t but ultimately, the chess champion didn’t succeed in proving his innocence as the majority voted for him to be banished.
As he left, he had some words of advice for the Faithfuls and plainly told them: “Well, this is indeed a wonderful game to play. Those of you that remain, I really hope that you take this opportunity to really look around you. Try and see through the fog.”
Tracey – Murdered in episode 6
![the-traitors-season-2-tracey Tracey for The Traitors season 2. Tracey has her finger on her chin](https://images.immediate.co.uk/production/volatile/sites/3/2024/01/the-traitors-season-2-tracey-cc85eb8.jpg?quality=90&fit=700,466)
The fifth episode left on a cliffhanger as the Traitors decided who to murder with them coming to the conclusion that they needed to get rid of someone who wasn’t a big personality or someone who’s too quiet either. While the decision boiled down to Diane, Tracey and Charlotte, it was ultimately Tracey that met her end.
Having learnt that she was being murdered, Tracey said: “Because my gift of seeing people’s auras and being quite psychic, I was going to be such an asset to the Faithfuls, which is probably why they murdered me. I don’t know who the Traitors are but they’re playing a very good game.”
Jonny – Banished in episode 5
![jonny Jonny for The Traitors season 2. He is wearing a blue jacket and white t-shirt with his arms crossed](https://images.immediate.co.uk/production/volatile/sites/3/2024/01/jonny-d696fa0.jpeg?quality=90&crop=140px,0px,1594px,1062px&fit=700,466)
Jonny was the latest faithful to be banished from the castle. After Ross raised his suspicions about Jonny due to his demeanour during the roundtables, everyone began to vote for Jonny. But as they soon found out, he was in fact a Faithful.
“I’m always me and I’m always trying to be a better version of myself every single day and I know these things sound like clichés but because of that, I wouldn’t change anything,” Jonny said of his time on The Traitors.
“I know that I was me and I maintained that throughout. I say that about anything I do because I like to think I’ve got good self-awareness in the way I approach things and do things. I won’t make a mistake because I’ve already thought about it, even though I am only human so I do make mistakes, but in this situation, I don’t think I’d change anything.”
Meg – Murdered in episode 5
![meg Meg for The Traitors season 2. Meg is wearing a multi-coloured jumper and glasses](https://images.immediate.co.uk/production/volatile/sites/3/2024/01/meg-bfb11dc.jpeg?quality=90&crop=121px,0px,1594px,1062px&fit=700,466)
After Ash was banished, the remaining Traitors were able to murder someone who was in the dungeon. However, due to Andrew being saved by the other contestants and a Traitor being unable to be murdered, it was Meg whose fate was sealed.
Since leaving the show, Meg says she feels “pretty blessed”.
“Even getting nearly halfway is like ‘oh my god, I made it basically halfway, that’s amazing.’ That’s great for me, I didn’t think I’d make it past day one, so I’m just happy I got another four or five days out of it really,” she said.
Ash – Banished in episode 4
![ash Ash for The Traitors season 2. She is wearing a multi-coloured jumper with her arms folded](https://images.immediate.co.uk/production/volatile/sites/3/2024/01/ash-fb7f4dd.jpeg?quality=90&crop=114px,0px,1594px,1062px&fit=700,466)
Ash was the third contestant to be banished from the competition as her fellow Traitors turned on her. It was a close call for her at the prior banishment but after sending herself to the dungeon, the faithful’s suspicions only rose.
Ash admitted she is “quite sad” to be leaving so early in the competition but at the same time she is “grateful”.
She said: “I feel like I’m very privileged to have been here. It’s been an honour and even if I’d have had one episode that would have been ok for me. I got to do some missions, I got to have some fun, I got to run around the castle, I got to sit at the Round Table and I got to be a Traitor, which not very many people can say. So, I can’t really complain. I got to wear a cloak and I got to look a bit creepy!”
Brian – Banished in episode 4
![brian Brian for The Traitors season 2. Brian is wearing a stripy unbuttoned shirt with a white-shirt beneath and glasses](https://images.immediate.co.uk/production/volatile/sites/3/2024/01/brian-dfd69eb.jpeg?quality=90&crop=132px,0px,1594px,1062px&fit=700,466)
Brian became the second contestant to be banished from the castle as he received the most votes. The decision was made following his outburst at the roundtable which led to his fellow contestants growing suspicious of him.
Following his exit from the show, Brian said he was initially “gutted” to be leaving but is now “happy” he went home.
He explained: “At the same time as I’m saying that I’m happy to go home, I’m also thinking ‘oh, what are they doing now?'”
Kyra – Murdered in episode 3
![kyra Kyra for The Traitors season 2. Kyra has her back turned and is wearing a white cardigan](https://images.immediate.co.uk/production/volatile/sites/3/2024/01/kyra-364f7b2.jpeg?quality=90&crop=103px,0px,1594px,1062px&fit=700,466)
At the beginning of episode 3, the Traitor’s second victim was revealed to be 21-year-old apprentice economist Kyra from Kent.
The decision was taken by the four Traitors due to Kyra’s outspoken nature, which marked her out as someone who was potentially dangerous and that they would be better off getting rid of.
Ahead of the show, Kyra had said that she was hoping to bring something to the game “that a lot of people won’t have seen before”, which is someone “very young who’s outspoken and not afraid to speak their mind or stand up for themselves”.
“I also like to push my boundaries. I’m successful at my job and I have the ability to be articulate and socialise with other people, so I think I’ll be good in the game,” she added.
After her murder, she said: “I’m sad. I think with this game you have to strike a balance and I think for me I didn’t strike that balance particularly well in the sense that I was too outspoken and I think that was intimidating.”
Sonja – Banished in episode 2
![the-traitors-season-2-sonja Sonja for The Traitors season 2. Sonja is wearing a camouflage shirt with her finger on her chin](https://images.immediate.co.uk/production/volatile/sites/3/2024/01/the-traitors-season-2-sonja-1f06a3c.jpg?quality=90&fit=700,466)
66-year-old volunteer business mentor Sonja from Lancashire became the first player to be banished in season 2 after she was overwhelmingly voted out during the first roundtable.
Despite the fact that she was a Faithful, her somewhat erratic behaviour led the other contestants to believe she was acting suspiciously and that she must be a Traitor.
Sonja had signed up for The Traitors after watching the first season, which she thought was “fantastic”. She became so fascinated with the show that she watched all of the other international versions also.
Before the season began, she said her ambition was to make it to the end, explaining: “I am going to definitely go all the way, there is nothing really that I won’t do other than upset somebody to win. There are many ways to beat somebody and mislead somebody without upsetting them.”
Aubrey – Murdered in episode 2
![aubrey Aubrey for The Traitors season 2. Aubrey is wearing a suit and smiling](https://images.immediate.co.uk/production/volatile/sites/3/2024/01/aubrey-ad9535a.jpeg?quality=90&crop=99px,0px,1594px,1062px&fit=700,466)
Aubrey, 57, from Loughborough, Leicestershire, was the first player to be “murdered” in season 2.
It was decided by Traitors Ash, Miles, Paul and Harry that the retired shop owner was a little too observant, which was making them feel uneasy.
Asked why he decided to sign up for the show, Aubrey said: “When I watched it last year, I thought to myself: ‘I could do that.’ That was it.
“Then I think Claudia had announced that applications were open, and before I knew it, I was on the link. I’d never, ever dreamt in a million years that I’d be where I am now. So that was it, really, no other reason.
“Oh, and to speak the truth, the location is beautiful, that castle is fantastic, and why not at 66?”
Episodes 1-8 of The Traitors season 2 are available to stream on BBC iPlayer. Episode 9 will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Friday 19th January at 9pm.
