After a 17-year wait for silverware and four decades since their last European triumph, Tottenham Hotspur fans finally have a reason to celebrate. The Lilywhites clinched the Europa League title with a tense 1-0 victory over Manchester United in Bilbaothanks to a decisive goal credited to Welsh winger Brennan Johnson.

Celebrations erupted in north Londonwith over 40,000 supporters watching the final at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The jubilant scenes continued late into the night at local pubs and barsmany of which extended their hours for the occasion.

The festivities are far from over. Tottenham Hotspur will host an open-top bus parade around Tottenham in Londongiving fans who couldn’t make it to Bilbao a chance to celebrate with the team.

When is the trophy parade?

The parade is scheduled for Friday, May 23, kicking off the bank holiday weekend.

Celebrations being at 3:00PM at a stage outside the north stand of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Paxton Terrace, featuring DJs, live music, and appearances from Spurs legends.

Parade starts at 5:30PM, departing from Edmonton Green.

The duration of the parade is 60 to 90 minutes.

After the parade, players and coaching staff will appear on the Paxton Terrace stage for the official trophy presentation.

Parade route details

The open-top bus will follow this route:

  • The Broadway/Fore Street (Southbound)
  • High Road (Southbound), passing the stadium
  • Lansdowne Road (Eastbound)
  • Willoughby Lane (Northbound)
  • Northumberland Park (Westbound)

Fans are advised to spread out along the parade route for the best view, as the area outside the stadium is expected to reach capacity quickly. Large screens will be set up at intervals along the route to ensure everyone can follow the celebrations.

Road closures and travel advice

Significant road closures will be in place around Tottenham from as early as 11:00 AM on parade day. Key affected roads include:

  • High Road
  • White Hart Lane
  • Northumberland Park
  • Lordship Lane
  • Lansdowne Road
  • Worcester Avenue
  • Park Avenue
  • Fore Street

Fans are strongly encouraged to use public transport rather than drive, as congestion and closures will make parking difficult. Edmonton Green, Silver Street, White Hart Lane, and Bruce Grove stations on the Weaver Lineas well as Northumberland Park, Tottenham Hale, and Seven Sisters stationsare all within walking distance of the parade route.
