Look, we all love free stuff. Truly, nothing makes our hearts swell as Londoners quite like the sensation of receiving something and not having to pay a single cent for it. And inarguably, the best types of freebies are food and drink freebies. In a city as expensive as London (although there are cheap eats to be found), not having to pay for a meal makes a huge difference. And that’s exactly what a few lucky Londoners will be able to do tomorrow by claiming some free Thai fried chicken – if they’re early enough…

Dang’s, the late-night cocktail bar in Spitalfields that specialises in Thai-inspired cocktails and scrummy Thai snacks, is giving away 150 buckets of their Hat Yai-style Fried Chicken to hungry Londoners. And all you have to do is turn up! (Assuming you’re fast enough…) Act fast, because they’re handing out the free chicken tomorrow (June 5)!

How to get free Thai fried chicken

Well, first you’ll have to find the venue! Dang’s is tucked away in the basement of Slurp Spitalfields. Specifically, you’ll find it on the lower ground floor at 60, 62 Commercial Street, E1 6LT. That’s across the street from Bubala and FOAMO Coffee.

You don’t have to do anything special to get the free food – you just have to be quick! The giveaway is operating on a first-come, first-served basis from 3pm on Thursday, June 5. The first 150 people to arrive will secure a bucket of the venue’s Hat Yai-style Fried Chickenwhich comes served with sticky rice and sweet chilli sauce.

More than just a freebie

Those lucky enough to net themselves a bucket of free Thai fried chicken will likely find themselves returning to Dang’s soon. And that’s not just because the chicken is finger-licking, mouthwateringly good.

It’s also because those who snap up the buckets will find a discount code for an impressive 50% off one of the venue’s cocktails. You could slurp down a Coconut Marg, for example, for just a fraction of the price. (Plus, since the code is valid from 5pm on the day, you could just hang around and enjoy your cocktail shortly after munching on the free food!)

So, don’t count your chickens! Hurry on down to Dang’s tomorrow – and we recommend getting there before 3pm…

Find Dang’s at Lower Ground, 60, 62 Commercial Street, E1 6LT. The nearest station is Aldgate East.
