A star-studded cast returns to action The Upshaws Season 5, when the series and its characters return to Netflix.
Created by Regina Y. Hicks and Wanda Sykes, The Upshaws focuses on a married couple and their three children. However, this particular family also has a stepchild and a baby mama, both of whom came during the marriage hiatus, making for quite the family dynamic.
Season 5, originally brought to Netflix in 2018, dropped on the streamer on April 18.

Jermelle Simon – Bernard Upshaw
Jermelle Simon’s Bernard Upshaw Jr. is the eldest child of the Upshaw family and is known for coming out as gay in Season 1.
He spends most of his days working as a UPS driver and also has to keep an eye on his father, whose eyes sometimes wander outside of his marriage to Bernard Jr.’s mother.
Simon continues to build his resume by appearing in shows such as The animal kingdom and Tattoo nightmares.
Journey Christine – Maya Upshaw
Young rising star Journey Christine adds a big credit to her resume by portraying Maya Upshaw, Bernie’s youngest daughter.

Diamond Lyons – Kelvin Upshaw
