Austin presented issues with Sean Palmier
Austin took things too far
In Season 3, Austin was at the center of drama with Sean Palmier. Sean is an agent with The O Group but has not sold any properties in the two years he has been licensed there and is not a main character on the show. Anyway, Austin, Sean, and Tyler were all close, and Austin even took Sean out to dinner with his wife and kids. However, things took a turn after rumors spread, which allegedly started with Sean accusing Austin and his wife of coming on to him and wanting a three-way.
Austin was seriously offended by the thought and called Sean a liar in front of the other agents.
During a confrontation at the office, things got heated and Austin shoved Sean before they split up.
Austin regretted that the case heated up, but thought he was defending his family and the truth.
Jason took Austin away from the Ritz property
Jason gave an explanation
Austin was the agent for a coveted $18 million Ritz Carlton property that was 5,500 square feet with 5 beds and 5 baths. Austin made hundreds of thousands of dollars from the deal, and he planned to use that money to pay a down payment on an apartment for him and his family. However, Jason took him off the list, and there’s a reason for that.
“The agent that the seller was working with contacted me and said that the seller has decided that he wants to continue working with his previous agent, so he doesn’t want you involved in the sale. He’s letting me work with another agent,” Jason explained.
When Austin asked if he had done something wrong professionally to lose himself the listing, Jason said he didn’t know what it was “goes behind the scenes.” Austin said he felt used, and Jason offered Austin a 25 percent referral fee on the deal. However, in a private interview Jason gave, he hinted that Austin lost the contract due to his own actions, which may have had something to do with what went down for Sean, as Jason was very unhappy with Austin and how he handled the situation.
“Austin is a fantastic agent. You know? He’s proven himself over and over again. But this is a small town, and the way you handle yourself in every situation is significant, and Austin needs to understand that.”
What Jason said could mean that Austin has tarnished his reputation in some way and that could have ripple effects. Either that or Jason took her off the list because of her behavior with Sean. The correct answer is not clear, but OC for sale Agent Austin’s loss in sales is likely due to his actions.
