The venue for Radio 1’s Big Weekend Festival has been announced. Greg James revealed the location of his Radio 1 Breakfast Show, announcing it will be at Stockwood Park in Luton.
While the headliners are yet to be revealed, last year Lewis Capaldi, the Jonas Brothers and The 1975 headlined Dundee. This year marks the first time the festival will run for three full days and 100,000 tickets will be available.
Speaking about his show, Greg James said: “This year it’s bigger than ever. We’re doing a really big weekend. For the first time, all four stages are on for all three days.”
He added that the annual festival is “our favorite time of the year and we love to take it to something new. It’s really a simple mission: we just want everyone who comes to have the best time.”
The lineup and information on how to get tickets will be announced in the coming weeks. Last year, weekend tickets cost £29 plus a £4.50 booking fee, while Friday tickets cost £18 plus a £2.50 booking fee.
