While the Air Flight 89 isn’t as well-known as it once was, without it, Nike wouldn’t be the basketball powerhouse that it is today. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, it was beloved by NBA legends such as Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. And while the silhouette was cancelled due to the sheer popularity of the Air Jordan line, the trainer gods eventually brought it back in 2022.
The Stüssy x Nike Air Flight 89 ‘Habanero Red’ and ‘Black’ are set to release sometime in 2024. Expect them to be available via Nike, the Snkrs app, and select stockists globally for around £130 a pop.
