Morrisons has appointed Lidl’s former Marketing Director Claire Farrant as the new marketing manager.
Farrant is scheduled to join Morrisons in early June as Group Marketing Director, followed by Rachel Eyre, who leaves the company in more than four years.
Farrant has spent the last two years at BP, acting as vice chairman of European mobility and comfort.
Prior to moving to BP, Farrant spent 18 years at the grocery store, including more than eight years as Lidl UK Marketing Director and six years in the various older roles of Tesco.
In his new role as Morrisons’ Group Marketing Director, Farrant works closely with Matt McLellan, who is set to join ASDA in early June as a recently appointed information and media leader in the group.
Rami Baitiéh, CEO of Morrisoni, said: “Clairella has an excellent record in the UK’s grocery store and her deep experience, clear customer -centered and proven strategic marketing skills make her a valuable addition to the older team.
“I also want to thank Rachel for her contribution to Morrisons for many years and wish her the best for the future.”
