Summer experiences

Summer 2024 is no exception, with the latest seasonal launch of their carefully selected collection of blissful steam explorations departing from London Victoria on selected Tuesdays until the end of August.

The Garden of England Lunchtime Tour and Sunset Steam Express Evening Tour both offer Londoners the chance to sit back, relax and travel in style with unrivaled service and attention to detail.



Passengers can travel on both routes in one of three classes:

Pullman Dining features menus made from the finest, locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, served in lovingly restored vintage carriages with plush, roomy armchairs.

First class offers a haven for those seeking a refined and relaxing journey without dining on board. New for 2024, First Class guests can enhance their experience by purchasing a traditional afternoon tea (Garden of England tour) or a locally sourced bait box (Sunset Steam Express). They will also have access to the exclusive Hippocrene Bar, a private enclave where passengers can enjoy the convivial atmosphere of this elegant bar with both tables and lounges.

Is also Premium Standardwhere the comfort and the journey are equally enchanting.

Garden of England Lunchtime Tour

This nostalgic tour captures all the beauty of the Kent countryside as it comes alive – from its picturesque landscapes full of vibrant fauna and flora to the dynamic beauty of the coast and the majestic White Cliffs of Dover.

The tour departs from London Victoria steam hauled, behind one of the iconic steam locomotives at 10.00 and returns at 15.15. on selected Tuesdays until the end of August.



Leaving the hustle and bustle of London behind, guests head to the Kent border at Bromley.

The journey goes through the North Downs, crossing the River Medway on the way and out along the North Kent Coast before reaching Canterbury.

Leaving the famous cathedral behind, there’s a final climb up the southern tip of the Kent Downs before descending to meet the south coast at Dover, steaming beneath the famous white cliffs along the Channel.

The tour then heads north, cutting through the heart of Kent to Tonbridge before passing through Sevenoaks on its way back to London Victoria.

Prices: Premium Standard (non-dining) is £85 per person, First Class (non-dining) is from £145 per person, and Pullman Dining is from £225 per person.

Sunset Steam Express



For those who prefer an evening treat, The Sunset Steam Express departs London Victoria at 18.15 and returns at 10 p.m.

This ever-popular odyssey offers a magical steam journey through the Surrey Hills, designated as an Area of ​​Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Passengers will enjoy stunning views as the train passes through London’s suburbs before making its steep ascent of the Surrey Hills at sunset.

The Surrey Hills, often described as ‘one of England’s finest landscapes’, stretch across the chalk North Downs.

The grandeur and beauty of these hills encompass a stunning variety of countryside, from rolling chalk duns and flower-rich grasslands to acid moors and woodlands.

Prices: Premium Standard (non-dining) is £75 per person, First Class (non-dining) is £100 per person, and Pullman Dining is £175 per person.
