  1. 10 March 2026

We’ve updated 3 guides ready for academic year 2026 to 2027. You will find updated rates, including targeted uplifts to some T Levels in the T Level funding guide. You will see all the T Level and foundation year programme cost weightings and funding bands in the spreadsheet. Remember to read recording your T Level data correctly guide to ensure you return accurate data and receive accurate funding.

  2. 11 November 2025

We have updated the examples section in the Record your T Level data correctly in academic year 2025 to 2026 attachment to provide links to the relevant workbooks.

  3. 16 October 2025

We have updated the T Level and transition programme cost weightings and funding bands 2025 to 2026 workbook.

The workbook reflects the updates to funding and occupational specialisms announced in September. This includes the learning aim reference for the new Project delivery for construction and the built environment occupational specialism which was ready for delivery from September 2025.

  4. 15 September 2025

We have added more details about the changes that we will make to the funding methodology from academic year 2027 to 2028 onwards.

  5. 2 July 2025

We have published a revised version of the T Level and transition programme cost weighting and funding bands spreadsheet.

This now contains all learning aim references for the qualifications that have been updated under the ‘generation 2’ new delivery contract with the awarding organisation.

  6. 5 June 2025

We have updated the T Levels funding guide 2025 to 2025 following the increased uplift to T Levels in June 2025. We have also updated the T Levels and transition programme cost weightings and funding bands spreadsheet to reflect these changes.

  7. 23 April 2025

We have updated the T Levels funding guide 2025 to 2026 with new T Level funding rates.

  8. 28 March 2025

We have replaced the T Level and Transition Programme Cost Weightings and funding bands spreadsheet with a version 1.1 to correct an error on the banding of the Education and Childcare T Level qualification. In academic year 2025 to 2026, we fund the generation 2 qualification at band 6, the same funding band as its generation 1 equivalent.

  9. 5 March 2025

We’ve updated this page to remove the guides for academic year 2023 to 2024 and 2022 to 2023 because this is old information. You can see what’s new for 2025 to 2026 by looking at the what’s new sections in the guides. We’ve added a new spreadsheet to the page which provides information on the 2025 to 2026 T Level and transition programme cost weightings (PCWs) and funding bands.

  10. 11 September 2024

We’ve updated our guidance to remind you to record your data for T Levels correctly.

  11. 2 August 2024

We have clarified about having only one open programme aim at a time; removed all references to framework and pathway codes as the individualised learner record is no longer collecting them; and clarified how to record data when students transfer from one T Level to another.

  12. 8 May 2024

We have now confirmed the funding bands for the 2024 to 2025 academic year for new Wave 4 T Levels, these have not changed from the indicative funding bands we published in February.

  13. 13 February 2024

We have updated this page for academic year 2024 to 2025. There are 3 new documents, a funding guide, PCW list and updated tolerance examples. We’ve also updated the guide on recording your T Level data correctly.

  14. 20 September 2023

We have updated the Record your T Level data correctly and 2023 to 2024 T Level guidance. This includes additional examples of how T Level programme elements and scenarios should be recorded in your data returns.

We encourage you to submit your autumn school census or R04 before 1 November 2023 for autumn census and 6 December for the R04.

  15. 21 July 2023

We have updated the T Levels funding guide to include details of the increased rates announced on 13 July 2023.

  16. 6 July 2023

We have added a new section in about business cases for T Levels in academic year 2023 to 2024. The deadline is 21 July 2023.

  17. 29 March 2023

We have added the T Level funding guidance for 2023 to 2024, with supporting examples and the PCW list.
