The teenager is due to appear in court today

An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Primrose Hill where a filmmaking student lost his life. Khalid Abdulqadir is accused of grievous bodily harm with intent, violent disorder and possession of a knife, and will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court today (April 14).

The proceedings come a week after 21-year-old Finbar Sullivan was stabbed to death at the Camden park’s viewpoint. Emergency services responded to reports of a large fight at 6.40pm on April 7, where a group were allegedly seen knifing a man to the ground, the Metropolitan Police said.

Finbar’s father, Christopher Sullivan, previously told The Daily Mail that his son had gone to the area to use a new camera he had got for his birthday. The family had all chipped in for the gift.

“This is the worst tragedy I could ever imagine,” he told the newspaper, “He’s my only son… I had him when I was 45. He can never be replaced.”

He added: “I’m so broken-hearted, I can’t believe it. He was the most beautiful, lovely, outgoing, loving boy. He was just a really lovely person.”

The musician said Finbar had ambitions to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, cameraman Michael Seresin, who worked on Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban and Rambo III. Abdulqadir, of Fellows Road, in Camden, was arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing on April 12.

Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27, has already appeared in court charged with Finbar’s murder. The Enfield resident declared ‘they’ve got the wrong person’ during his first appearance at Stratford Magistrates’ Court yesterday (April 13).

He was flanked by a security officer and wore a grey prison-issue tracksuit in the dock as he spoke to confirm his name. District Judge Ashwinder Gill said Ogunyankinnu’s case was too serious to be heard at the magistrates’ court.

“Your case will therefore be sent to the Central Criminal Court,” she told the defendant.

Before he was taken to the cells, Ogunyankinnu told the court: “I didn’t kill anybody, I didn’t stab anybody, they’ve got the wrong person.”

He was remanded into custody to appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow.

Anyone with relevant footage or information is urged to contact 101, quoting 6448/07Apr. Anonymous reports can be made to Crimestoppers via 0800 555 111.
