Looking for the most beautiful wintry spot for a night out this festive season? Then look no further, because London’s Dalloway Terrace has just undergone a stunning winter transformation. It’s now a sparkling, dreamlike winter wonderland, and cements the restaurant’s reputation as one of the prettiest spots in the city.
Back in September, the restaurant turned into a literary-inspired autumnal al-fresco oasis. Beautiful blooms drenched the terrace in delicate pink and peach tones. Drawing from its namesake novel (Virginia Woolf’s Mrs Dallowayof course), the venue’s autumnal makeover was inspired by Clarissa Dalloway’s love of flowers. But for winter, they’ve joined forces with an illustrious champagne house to unveil A Sparkling Winter’s Tale.
A Sparkling Winter’s Tale at Dalloway Terrace
Dalloway Terrace has partnered with Charles Heidsieck Champagne for a sparkling new look this winter. The transformation turns the hidden terrace dining area into a cosy winter destination. Guests are welcomed into a glowing sanctuary, filled with golden touches and snow-kissed foliage. Amidst it all are twinkling lights and what look to be fallen autumn leaves in shades of copper and gold, suspended in a wintry vista.
In short, the al-fresco spot has become “a dreamlike winter wonderland, where festive magic and the sophistication of Charles Heidsieck Champagne intertwine.”
Magical winter drinks
Now, since they’ve partnered with a champagne house, you can bet there are some sparkling new additions to the drinks menu. They’ve concocted a trio of special champagne cocktails, which celebrate the “refined artistry and heritage of Charles Heidsieck”. (Or you can just sip on the bubbles by themselves!)
The drinks include:
- Royal Christmas – a bright and citrusy blend of Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve NV, and flavours of citrus and smoke.
- Scrooge Fizz – a rich and indulgent mix of dried fruits, gin, and Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve NV. Love Actually Brut Brut Cream, Hedgerow & Rose
And of course, for the season, Dalloway Terrace has also overhauled its afternoon tea offering. You can’t very well have the autumn afternoon tea in the wintry surroundings, after all. Naturally, they’ve got the requisite scones and tea, but they’ve spruced up the savouries, snacks, and patisserie with festive spirit.
The new afternoon tea offering includes the likes of Roast Turkey finger sandwichesa Pistachio Christmas Wreath, and Gingerbread Madeleines. The little ones are sorted too, with a delectable Children’s Afternoon Tea ensuring that everyone can share in the wonder.
Dalloway Terrace has also overhauled the à la carte menu with a new selection of “comforting winter dishes and contemporary classics”.
