M&S shoppers buy a short coat perfect for stocking. The Textured Collared Short Coat costs £59 and comes in sizes 6 to 24.
M&S says the structured jacket is a “sophisticated style for cold days”. Cut in a regular fit, it sits in a short length that ends just above the hips.
The jacket has a collar that can be turned up or down and fastens with hidden buttons. There are also two side pockets to store your belongings.
The jacket has 4.9 stars from 23 reviews and is currently marked “selling fast”. One person said: “Lovely coat. Saw it in store but not in my size and sold out on website. Luckily I kept trying and it came back in stock. So glad I checked because it’s gorgeous.
“Lovely and warm and so clean. Not too cut and I think it’s value for money.” Another wrote “Love this jacket, can be worn with casual or smart clothes.”

“A surprisingly versatile jacket that looks great with blue jeans or over a skirt or dress,” wrote a third. “Can be dressed up or down. Lovely fabric. Not heavy to wear.”
One person said “Lovely soft jacket and lovely and warm, perfect for my commute. Great price too.” The lowest rating left was four stars, and it said: “I’m a size 24, quite tall at 5’9″. I bought a size 24, but found this jacket quite big and boxy and too short for my frame. The jacket is very stylish and lovely material, but it is not lined.”
