Mother of the bride highlights a star-studded cast with e.g iCarly‘s Miranda Cosgrove and Jane the Virgin star Brooke Shields.
The new Netflix comedy tells the story of how the mother of the bride finds herself in a spontaneous situation where she discovers that the father of the groom is a man who broke her heart in the past.
Mother of the bride premieres on Netflix May 9.

Brooke Shields leads the cast Mother of the bride Lana, Emma’s mother, who is shocked (but happy) to learn that her daughter is finally getting married.
The only downside to the big news is that her ex-boyfriend, who broke her heart during college, is the groom’s father.
It’s made clear that Lana still has feelings for her ex, Will, and needs to keep her feelings in check in order for the wedding to go as planned.

Benjamin Bratt – Will
Benjamin Bratt plays RJ’s (fiance) charismatic father Will, who is also Lana’s ex.
Although Will haunted Lana during college, he assured her that he is a changed man now.
Will and Lana rekindle their once strong bond by going out and having fun with Janice, Clay and Scott in Thailand.
As the couple grows closer, another chance at love may be on the horizon.

Miranda Cosgrove – Emma
Miranda Cosgrove stars as Emma, Lana’s daughter whose dream destination wedding is in Phuket, Thailand.
Before the wedding, Emma worries that her mother will judge her for her decision to say yes to RJ. She is also shocked to learn that her mother dated RJ’s father a long time ago.
Cosgrove’s most famous role is portraying Carly Shay on Nickelodeon’s iCarly. The actor also has merit Despicable Me, School of Rockand Crowded.
Chad Michael Murray – Lucas
Chad Michael Murray stars as Lucas, a hot doctor that Lana is initially attracted to.
When Will realizes that Lucas may be flirting with Lana, it leads to a competition to see which of them will finally get his attention (and affection).
Murray’s most famous role is that of Lucas Scott in over 100 episodes One Tree Hill. The actor also performed Sullivan’s Crossing, Crazy Fridayand Survive the night.
Sean Teale – RJ
Sean Teale’s RJ is Emma’s soon-to-be husband and Will’s son.
Lana thinks that RJ and Will have a lot in common, leading to her growing concern that he might end up breaking her daughter’s heart.
Still, RJ’s love for Emma is undeniable as he is willing to go the extra mile for her.

Rachael Harris – Janice
Janice is Lana’s best friend Mother of the bride. The character is played on screen by Rachael Harris.

Michael McDonald appears as Lucas, Scott’s husband and Lana’s friend from Stanford.

Tasneem Roc – Camala
Tasneem Rocin’s Camala is Emma and RJ’s fearsome wedding planner, making sure everything is ready for the wedding.
Camala arrives in Thailand to lay the groundwork for Emma’s dream wedding.
Lana is not happy to learn that Camala seems to have already completed all the tasks necessary for the occasion, as she believes that wedding planning should be a mother-daughter affair.

Dalip Sondhi is a part Mother of the bride‘s cast Harley Ray, of the hotel “go to a friend” who takes care of all the requests the wedding guests may need.
