We also visited and learned about the history of the Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Parliament and Westminster Abbey. We walked through St James’s Park where we saw lots of squirrels and learned the history about the gentlemen’s clubs and the shops where the royal family shops.

Later, We stopped at a classic pub on White Hall Avenue to have two beers and some potatoes.

When finished, We took bus 15 to tour part of the city and get to the Royal Exchangewhere we enjoy the classic afternoon tea. This consists of a selection of sandwiches, pastas and the classics scone with sour cream and strawberry jam.

After We went for a walk through the Mayfair area to see the most luxurious neighborhood in London. We walked along Bond Street to see the facades of the best brands, we saw the decoration of the famous Annabel’s club and we passed by the most prestigious hotels that are perfectly decorated for Christmas.
Finally, We went to dinner at Mercato Mayfairwhere you can find food stalls of all kinds: Italian, Japanese, Thai, Mexican…
Spent: 3 large plates of Thai food cost us £39.
Transport expense: In total we spent 10 pounds per person on transportation and took the metro 3 times and the bus once.
Budget for traveling to London: Day 2
We start the day visiting Camden Town Market. We arrived around 11 to avoid the crowds. This market is one of the best places to shop souvenirs or, as we did, a good scarf for the cold.
There are many food stalls in this market. but we wanted to eat indoors so we chose the Epicurus burger restaurant in the Stables Market.
Bills: Two burgers, a pancake with bacon and a beer cost us £57.75. As it is a restaurant within this price, you have to pay a 10% tip that was included in the bill.
After We took a guided tour of the British Museum. We met the guide at the museum’s group entrance and didn’t have to wait in line to get in. The guide took us through the most important rooms in Egypt, Greece and Mesopotamia.
Spent: £16 per person.
Then we went to the Winter Wonderland Christmas fair.
Bills: To enter we had to pay 5 pounds per person, plus website management costs. In total we paid 16.5 to enter.
You can buy tickets for attractions, food and drinks in advance on the website or inside the park itself.. We ate 3 hot dogs and some potatoes and spent a total of 39 pounds.
Budget for traveling to London: Day 3
We started the day touring the city and We go up to the Sky Garden viewpoint. Admission is free but we were unlucky that it was raining and foggy and we couldn’t see very much.
To reserve this viewpoint you have to enter their website 3 weeks in advance. On Monday the schedules appear on the web and you have to be quick because otherwise they will run out.
After We went to visit the Tower of London. The ticket costs 34.80 pounds but we used the 2 for 1 discount that can be obtained with a printed train ticket when filling out the form. voucher that appears on the web.

It was very interesting to see the city day and night. After the viewpoint we went to see Leadenhall Market and took a tube to go to Temple station.
We took the opportunity to see the Somerset House skating rink and We had dinner at the Japanese restaurant Eat Tokyo. We ordered many dishes, so much that we couldn’t finish them and we asked for the sushi that we hadn’t finished to be put to go.

After We took the opportunity to see the Christmas decorations in Covent Gardenwe entered the Leicester Square Christmas market and saw the elegant angels of Regent Street.
Spent: This day, as we also take the metro a lot, we spent an extra 10 pounds per person.
Budget for traveling to London: Day 4
this day We dedicated it to visiting the beautiful city of Oxford and its university. Our excursion to Oxford included round-trip train tickets and a guided tour of about two hours in the city.
When you finish you can visit the college that interests you most and spend as much time as you want in the city because There are return trains until 11 at night.
Even though the sun came out, it was very cold. That’s why We chose to eat in a typical English pub. There we ask for a piea fillet of beef, some nachos and two beers, which cost us a total of £65.75.
Then We went to visit Christ Collegewhich is the most monumental and famous for having many inspirations for the author of Alice in Wonderland and Harry Potter.
