Stansted Airport is well-and-truly upping its game this year. The major London airport (the fourth busiest in the country, in fact) has just announced the exciting new European flight routes that will be taking off in 2025. And from culture-vultures to sun-seekersand everything in between; there’s a destination to suit even the fussiest of travellers.
The new 2025 flight routes from London Stansted Airport
The new flight offerings come courtesy of various different airlines. British Airwaysfor example, will be launching a new route to Bergerac (a gorgeous historic town in France) whilst Dutch airline, Transavia, will be making its London Stansted debut in April with a shiny new route to the vibrant cultural hub of Rotterdam. Turkish airline, SunExpress will also be adding a new route, and will be whisking passengers to Kayseri in Turkey (known for its easy access to the breathtaking Cappedocia region) from July.
Jet2 is London Stansted’s second largest airline, and will be launching flight routes to Pula in Croatia and Bergen in Norway, as well as holiday packages to various Greek Islands. The airport’s largest carrier is Ryanairand they also won’t be disappointing on the new flight route front. The Irish airline will be launching flights to Lübeck and Münster in Germany, as well as Clermont-Ferrand (a cute-as-a-button city in France). With these new flight routes taken into account; London Stansted Airport now officially serves more European destinations than any other airport in the UK. Pretty impressive, right?
London Stansted’s Aviation Director, Simon Gorrighansaid: “We’re really excited about these new routes—they’re all about giving our passengers even more choice for their travels. Whether it’s unwinding in the vineyards of Bergerac, soaking up the buzz of Rotterdam’s cultural scene, or exploring the stunning landscapes of Cappadocia, there’s truly something for everyone.
“London Stansted serves more European destinations than any other UK airport, and these new services will further strengthen our route network, which now covers almost 200 destinations across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.”
