Logan Paul has said that “the system failed” a man who allegedly broke into his house in 2018, after learning that the man died by suicide in jail.
In an interview with TMZ, it was revealed to Logan that Tahj Deondre Speight, who was jailed after a confrontation with the top influencer in 2018, apparently died by suicide.
At one point during the confrontation, Logan reportedly had to wrestle the stalker to the ground while he waited for police to arrive.
Despite the intrusion, Logan made it clear he wanted to empathize with the man as much as possible, and was shocked to hear that he was dead.
Logan Paul says “the system failed” stalker who broke into his house
Speaking to TMZ as part of their new series on celebrity stalkers, Logan Paul recalled his encounter with his own stalker, saying: “It was clear right off the rip that this was a mentally unstable human, and so you do your best to exercise a little grace in that scenario, but it’s hard, because you’ve been violated.”
When he was told by the interviewer that his stalker had apparently died by suicide, Logan was visibly shocked.
“I didn’t know he died. I’d say the system definitely failed him, for sure. I didn’t even know he died, and the first thing I said was this was an obviously unstable individual, and I’d like to empathize with him as much as I can.
“Whatever mental facility, whatever protocol was put in place to try to help this individual obviously failed.”
