Linkin Park fans, brace yourselves: the band is back. Originally formed in 1996, the legendary rock group has been on an unofficial hiatus since the tragic death of their lead singer Chester Bennington in 2017.
Many thought this marked the end of Linkin Park’s musical journey – but they were wrong. The band just released a series of exciting announcements.
Firstly, they have confirmed their new singer as Emily Armstrong from Dead Sara. Additionally, Colin Brittain has joined the band as vocalist and drummer, taking over from Rob Bourdon. But wait: there’s more.

This album title refers to both these humble beginnings and the journey we’re currently on. Sonically and emotionally, it’s about the past, present and future that encompassing our signature sound, but new and full of life.”
He added: “It was made with a deep appreciation for our new and long-time bandmates, our friends, our family and our fans. We are proud of what LINKIN PARK has become over the years and excited about the journey ahead.”
Of their expanded lineup, Shinoda said, “The more we worked with Emily and Colin, the more we enjoyed their world-class talent, their company, and the things we created. We feel truly empowered with this new lineup and the vibrant and energetic new music we’ve created together. We’re weaving together the sonic touchpoints we’ve been known for and still exploring new ones.”
