The released photos show seven trainees with extraordinary charisma and amazing bodies. As this is the first female group under hitmaker Teddy’s agency, expectations are high for the trainees’ performances. Known for contributing to the success of 2NE1 and Blackpink, Teddy has a unique vision to create a unique style unique to girl groups. Although nothing has been officially confirmed, leaked images show The Black Label’s rookies showcasing a unique and unconventional style reminiscent of Blackpink’s pre-debut days.

The Black Label is widely known as a record label under YG, established in March 2016. However, since Taeyang signed a personal contract and joined The Black Label, the company has become increasingly independent. Over the past eight years, The Black Label has produced solo stars such as Jeon So-mi and Zion.T, and especially produced actor Park Bo-gum, Big Bang’s lead singer. Despite regularly holding auditions, Teddy has yet to debut with any group.

If The Black Label debuts a girl group now, it will compete directly with YG. Baby Monster is considered YG’s future, but criticism has been raised due to unclear schedules and insufficient promotional activities. Currently active as a six-member group, Baby Monster is looking forward to the return of core member Ahyeon in April.
