Kick-start your career in the creative industries by attending two open events at a globally recognized stage and creative school this autumn.

Located in Croydon, South London, The BRIT School caters to young people aged 14 to 19. It offers free education to anyone with a passion for the arts.

Whether you aspire to be an artist, technician, designer, musician, performer, teacher, facilitator or business professional, studying at The BRIT School is an excellent way to prepare for a career in the thriving creative industries.

You can find out for yourself this autumn when the school is hosting two open events to meet the next generation of creative talent looking to study at Key Stage 4 and Post 16. This is a chance to tour the school and see if it’s right for you.

Book an appointment for the Post 16 Entry Open Event on Tuesday 24 September or the Key Stage 4 Entry Open Event on Wednesday 16 October 2024.

A unique educational experience

The BRIT school allows students to study British qualifications (GCSEs, A Levels and BTECs) alongside an arts-related subject.

Students can join Year 10 (age 14) or Year 12 (age 16) after completing their GCSEs.

Those who join at 16 follow a UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in a specialist arts subject, equivalent to three A levels, with the option of taking further A/AS levels.

The school offers nine focus areas: Film & Media Production, Interactive Digital Design, Production Arts, Visual Arts & Design/Fashion Styling & Textiles, Applied Theatre, Dance, Music & Music Technology, Musical Theater and Theatre.

All courses provide expert training from industry professionals, with regular opportunities for students to participate in performances, exhibitions and productions using professional facilities.

The school also prioritizes pupils’ social and mental wellbeing with on-site counselors and a BRIT Fit programme, including football and yoga.

Alumni success stories

The BRIT School has a wealth of talented alumni including singers, musicians, engineers, filmmakers, artists, designers, game makers, stage makers, community arts practitioners, actors, producers, writers, DJs, composers, visual artists, poets, entrepreneurs, digital designers, theater makers and even a stuntman.

Notable alumni include Adele, RAYE, Jessie J, Amy Winehouse, Kae Tempest, King Krule, Katie Melua, Rex Orange County, Ella Eyre, Leona Lewis, The Kooks, Dan Gillespie Sells, Cat Burns, Tom Holland and Cush Jumbo OBE ( The good lady).

See for yourself
