It’s no secret that London has a love affair with pints of stout. Trouble is, that love comes with a hefty price (often around the £6-7 mark, to be more exact).

But what if there was a chance to get your fingertips around one for £2.50? Without a time machine? At a new pub opening in Shoreditch this month?

Nancy Spains Shoreditch

Nancy Spains arrives in Shoreditch on March 15, and to celebrate their opening, they’re serving up 2,500 pints of Murphy stout for just £2.50 on Saturday, March 16 from midday. That’s one way to kick off your St. Patrick’s Day weekend celebrations. You’re not likely to find pints of the good stuff at this price anywhere in London across St. Paddy’s, so make sure you’re first in line to take advantage of cheap pints.

Even if you miss out on the cheap pints, there’s plenty of reason to head down to Nancy Spains beyond St. Patrick’s Day. The new Irish pub will be serving up exceptional Irish whiskey and delightful cocktails, as well as putting on a show with plenty of live music and DJ sets to enjoy all the way to the end of the night.

You can check out their full cocktail menu online, but I’ve got my eye on the boozy Nancy’s Irish Coffee and the Oscar Wilde cocktail, which is made with Irish Poitín. Nancy Spains also have a 2-for-1 happy hour from 3-5pm on Sundays, and 5-7pm on Monday-Thursdays, as well as a mean £6 highball offer during the same times.

Catch Nancy Spains open on the streets of Shoreditch very, very soon – be sure to pop in for a pint and a dance.

While there is space for walk-ins at Nancy Spains, you can also reserve a table at the new pub via their website. Find Nancy Spains at 128-130 Curtain Road, EC2A 3AQ from March 15, with £2.50 pints day taking place on March 16.
