Taylor Swift is back in London for her second run of shows at Wembley Stadium starting tonight (Thursday 15 August), and there’s plenty of useful information to know if you’re going. The pop star will take to the stage for five shows between Thursday and Tuesday, August 20 to sold-out audiences each night.
The three-and-a-half-hour show is full of Taylor’s biggest hits, including Shake It Off, Love Story and 22, as well as fan favorites such as Cruel Summer and a 10-minute version of All Too Well. For many Swifties attending the concert, it will be a magical experience and an opportunity to see Taylor perform live for the first time.
So Anna Willis, who went to the first edition of shows at Wembley, has put together a complete guide to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows at Wembley Stadium in August, to make sure all fans get the best possible experience. There is information on everything from the queues to how much drinks cost, as well as tips on how best to get home after the gig.
What time should I arrive at Wembley Stadium?
Each day that Taylor performs at Wembley Stadium has a different opening time, so be sure to check your tickets in advance. There are two support acts scheduled to perform before Taylor herself takes the stage, which also gives concertgoers a little more time to get to the stadium.
However, there are likely to be long queues to get into the stadium if you have a standing ticket, so many people will be arriving in North London early to line up before the doors open. However, there won’t be the same worry for those with seated tickets, as you’ve secured your seats (and view) in advance.
It’s worth noting that if you don’t have a ticket, you’re not allowed to congregate outside the arena, due to security fears following the recent canceled gigs. I would advise getting there as soon as you can after the doors open for general admission, especially if you want to secure a good spot.
The arena will open at the following times on the following dates:
Early entry doors: 3.30pm
General Admission and Hospitality: 4:00 p.m
Show start: 16:55
Friday August 16

Monday 19 August

Who are the support acts playing before Taylor Swift?
Paramore, who have supported Taylor on the European leg of The Eras Tour, will play a set around an hour before Taylor arrives on stage each night at Wembley. But there will also be another support act, which will change every night during the five days the Love Story singer will perform in London.
Thursday 15 August – Sofia Isella
Friday 16th August – Holly Humberstone
Saturday 17 August – Suki Waterhouse
Monday 19 August – Maisie Peters
Tuesday, August 20 – RAYE
These support acts will start performing soon after the doors open – so make sure to get into the arena in time to see them on stage.
What is the bag policy at Wembley Stadium?
Each person may only bring one small bag into the arena, and it may not be larger than A4 size. Briefcases, bags, luggage and large bags will not be allowed. This is standard at large concert venues just in case and they really won’t let you in with anything bigger so don’t try it.
If you have a seat ticket, you may also bring a transparent soft plastic water bottle of max. 500ml into the arena. However, this does not apply to those with standing tickets.
How much are drinks inside the arena?
You can buy soft drinks and alcoholic beverages inside the stadium. Below is a breakdown of the prices for the June Eras Tour shows:
Bottled water – £3.20
Soft drinks (Cola Zero, Fanta, Sprite) – £4.80
Canned cocktails – £8
Stella Artois (440ml) – £7.85
Two glasses of wine – £15
Note: Wembley Stadium does not accept cash.
Can I get water for free?
There are several free water points on all levels of the stadium, including the concourse level. However, only those with seated tickets will be allowed to bring an empty soft plastic bottle into the stadium.
When does Taylor start performing?
There has been no official time for when Taylor will appear on stage for each night of the Eras Tour in London. However, she usually starts her show around 7.30pm every night – although it can sometimes start up to 10 minutes earlier.
The giveaway that the show is about to start is that the playlist that starts after Paramore stops performing reaches Applause by Lady Gaga – then the huge screens on stage melt into a giant, ticking clock counting down the seconds until the show starts.
How do I leave the arena after the show?
After the show, everyone will try to leave the stadium at the same time. Therefore, it is recommended to be patient and move with the crowd until you get outside the stadium, then you can find your best way home. There is not much else to advise on this. Just keep moving and stay calm.
How do I get home?
From Wembley Stadium there are several options to get home. From Wembley Central Station, which is approximately 20 minutes’ walk from the stadium, you can access the Bakerloo Line and the London Overground. Wembley Park station is just a 10 minute walk away and will have trains from the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines.
There are also trains from Wembley Station, which is also a 20-minute walk away. Check the National Rail and TfL Status Update websites to keep an eye out for information about service changes and for real-time journey updates.
