Who doesn’t love a big bowl of pasta? I really do, and at Emilia’s Crafted Pasta I found the most al dente pasta in London, a must-try for anyone who loves authentic Italian food.
Emilia’s focuses solely on pasta for main courses and offers just eight options – but each one is perfect. I tried four of their specialties, and each dish was cooked to perfection with rich, authentic flavors.
My absolute favorite was the 4-hour slow-cooked Béchamel Bolognese, served with tender pappardelle and a creamy, flavorful sauce. But their Carbonara is just as impressive – made with eggs, cheese and crispy pancetta, it showcases Emilia’s take on the classic dish, all without a single drop of cream.

The Truffle Cacio e Pepe was another standout, with a simple blend of black pepper and cheese enhanced by the truffle. For those with dietary restrictions, Emilia’s offers four gluten-free options, and their homemade Tomato Sauce Radiatori with Basil is ideal for those who are lactose intolerant.
Emilia’s has recently launched a new line of dried pasta, made in Italy’s famous Gragnano region. And to celebrate World Pasta Day on 25 October they are giving away up to 5,000 packs of this pasta across London.
From 12pm to 6pm tomorrow you can find them at selected tube stations in central London to collect a free goodie bag. Follow the Emilias on Instagram today to see which stations they will be at.
If you prefer to eat in, you can also get the goodie bag by ordering a bowl of pasta at any of their four locations: Baker Street, St. Katharine Docks, Aldgate or Canary Wharf. Each bag contains a package of its dried pasta and a coupon for a free bowl of pasta on your next visit, although only one coupon can be used per table.
Although the pasta is the star of the show, don’t miss their desserts! I loved their signature Amaretto tiramisu, similar to the tiramisu I’ve had in Italy and a subtle almond kick at the end.
Their homemade creamy Pistachio Cheesecake was absolutely to die for. Not overly sweet, it has a rich pistachio flavor and a crunchy chocolate shortcrust base – an explosion of Italian flavors.
For another truly special dessert, try the homemade chocolate salami with sea salt. This is one of my favorite Mediterranean desserts, and it’s really hard to find in London, so I was really happy to see it on the menu. The sea salt balances the heavy chocolate flavor.
For now, be sure to grab your free pasta tomorrow at either their restaurants or any of the subway stations. Don’t miss this chance to celebrate World Pasta Day with some of the best pasta in London!
