Hyde Park BST takes place every summer and promises a stacked lineup of stars to fill the stage and draw the crowds to the centre of the city. This year, you can see the likes of Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter headlining the event, but one main act has today announced they will be cancelling their performance.
Hugh Jackman was due to headline Hyde Park BST on July 6but has today confirmed that the show will not be taking place due to a scheduling conflict. The show would have seen the actor and performer play songs from The Greatest Showman, The miserablesand more.
Why has Hugh Jackman’s show at Hyde Park BST been cancelled?
Earlier today (February 3), Hyde Park BST posted a statement by Hugh Jackman to their social media profiles and website, which read: “Due to an unforeseen conflict in my schedule, I am deeply disappointed to announce I will be unable to perform in Hyde Park this July 6. This was a stage I truly was looking forward to being on, no less in a city that I love so much. Thank you to all people who’ve purchased tickets. London, I’ll see you soon!”
What happens if you have purchased a ticket to the show?
Unfortunately, this is a straight cancellation so there’s no rescheduled date, which means that those with a ticket will be entitled to a full refund. BST added to Hugh Jackman’s statement, saying: “Ticketholders for Hugh Jackman will automatically be refunded in full for tickets purchased through official agents.”
Hyde Park BST takes place this summer, with further shows including Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, Jeff Lyne’s ELO, and Noah Kahan. Hugh Jackman’s show, which was slated to take place on July 6, will no longer take place, and you can find out the full details here.
