Charli XCX will perform a headline show at The O2 Arena on Thursday 28 November, following the launch of her latest album. BRAT is Charli’s sixth studio album and was released on 7 June, following the success of her 2022 UK number one album CRASH. Charli will appear at the O2 as she tours in support of BRAT, performing a selection of the album’s anthems alongside staples from her career.
Ever since her Icona Pop hit I Love It in 2012, Cambridge-born Charli, 32, has become an iconic figure in pop music over the course of a groundbreaking decade. Her impact was cemented last year when she was honored with the Visionary Award at the annual Ivor Novellos in London, and she also received the Powerhouse Award at Billboard’s Women In Music ceremony in Los Angeles in March.
Charli will appear at the O2 Arena on November 28, with support act Shygirl – best known for their 2021 hit Slime. Tickets are completely sold out for the show, although resale can be purchased from Viagogo, with the lowest prices starting at £230.
Charli XCX grew up inspired by other female pop stars, such as the Spice Girls and Britney Spears, and wrote her own songs from the age of 14. After attending Bishop’s Stortford College, she began a career as a singer-songwriter.
She had already released the singles Stay Away and Nuclear Seasons when she wrote the song I Don’t Care to a beat set by Swedish producer Patrick Berger. At first unsure if the song suited her, she recorded it with Swedish pop duo Icona Pop and it became a worldwide hit, reaching number 1 in the UK singles chart. It has gone on to sell 4.3 million certified downloads.
