Greene King has announced that it intends to expand the Franchising Pub concepts, Hive and Nest, to Scotland.

Both concepts start in Scotland under the Belhaven Pub Partners brand, and the first site is to be opened by April.

Hive pubs offer a diet menu alongside regular entertainment and live sports program, while Nest is a wet-derived concept for sports fans that serves a simple pizza menu.

Dan Robinson, CEO of Greene King Pub Partners, said: “We are excited to bring franchise -pub concepts to Scotland, which means a great step for our business.”

“Our goal is to support our Franchise provider at every point as they build flourishing pubs at the heart of their local communities and we are looking forward to working with Scotland talented operators to achieve this.”

Alasdair Lindsay, Business Development Manager at Belhaven Pub Partners, added: “This is a really exciting time when we introduce Franchise to Scotland.

“We have a tube of pubs and are actively looking for potential franchisers who want to lead their own pub business with complete support from Belhaven’s pub partners.”

Pub-giant stated that potential franchisees could take over the site of only £ 3,000 and earn a percentage of food and drink sales, as well as chances of profit and performance-based bonuses.

Greene King has over 50 franchise pubs in England.
