In a city that already boasts an outrageous number of skyscraping dining options, any new ones being thrown into the mix certainly need to be elevated – in every sense of the word. And that’s where Gordon Ramsay comes in. The notoriously fiery celebrity chef is swapping his kitchen in hell for a shiny new one in the heavens as he prepares to open London’s highest restaurant (and a whole host of other sky-high culinary experiences) next year.
Ramsay is – quite literally – levelling up London’s dining scene by bringing not one, not two, but three new restaurants to 22 Bishopsgate (London’s tallest office building), along with a rooftop terrace bar and a culinary academy. Because, you know, why not?
London’s highest restaurant
From February 2025, Lucky Cat will perch up on the 60th floor of the building, becoming the highest place to stuff your face in the city. The Asian-inspired restaurant will serve up a delicious menu with some pretty impressive views of the capital on the side.
Level 60 will also be the proud owner of the rooftop terrace (more on that momentarily, folks) and an intimate 14-seat Chef’s Table concept which follows on from the success of a similar experience in Ramsay’s flagship (and rather legendary) Chelsea restaurant.
The highest rooftop bar in Europe
So, about that terrace I briefly mentioned. It just so happens that Lucky Cat’s terrace bar will, in fact, be the highest rooftop bar in Europe. But did we expect anything less from Mr Ramsay? The terrace will offer vibes as immaculate as its views, serving up delicious cocktails and live rooftop entertainment until 3am. It’s set to be the place to be for sky-high sipping, snacking, and staring at some of the capital’s best-loved landmarks. And fear not – it comes complete with a retractable roof because… well… the British weather, and all that.
The final additions to Ramsay’s quintet of new culinary experiences are Bread Street Kitchen and the Gordon Ramsay Academy. The former will be found on level 59 and will serve up its signature dishes and much-loved cocktails alongside a brand new (and probably rather fancy) afternoon tea experience. The latter, meanwhile, will offer budding chefs of the capital a spot to hone their skills and master the craft of cookery.
Gordon Ramsay comments, “Guests at Lucky Cat and Bread Street Kitchen can expect the same spectacular and delicious dining experiences and inventive cocktails enjoyed at our other restaurants, but now against London’s best view with 360’ panoramic vistas of London’s iconic skyline. The 14-seat Chef’s Table will bring fine dining to the sky, utter perfection, with 3-michelin star inspired dishes from the Restaurant Gordon Ramsay Kitchen, as you gaze down at London landmarks which will truly be an unmatched dining experience.”
Gordon Ramsay Restaurants will open at 22 Bishopsgate on February 4, 2025. Find out more and book your table here.
