A family-run business is combining luxury and upcycling on a mission to improve the lives of people struggling with aches and pains whilst helping the environment at the same time.

The Cosy Bear Company all started with the wholesome aim of trying to help their grandmother manage her aching hands.

Suffering from poor circulation and arthritis, her acute pains affected her everyday life – until a pair of gloves made out of an old cashmere jumper changed everything.

The warmth, softness and snug fit over her wrists and palms kept the cold out and helped ease the pains, so much so that she kept them on all day and in the summer months too.

The gloves’ impact led to the creation of The Cosy Bear Company, which has since helped hundreds of people stay warm and comfortable.

Made using kind-to-the-skin cashmere and bamboo, the company has expanded to offer not only luxurious fingerless gloves, but also hats, snoods, scarves, socks, and more.

Keep cosy

A perfect Christmas gift for a loved one, The Cosy Bear Company’s cashmere and bamboo fingerless gloves are both stylish and practical.

The gloves’ sleek design and neutral colour options make them versatile accessories that can complement any outfit with understated sophistication and, most importantly, comfort.

Keeping joints warm but fingers accessible, you no longer have to constantly take off your gloves to type on a touch screen or perform a simple task. Plus, the breathable material can help prevent discomfort and skin irritation from overheating.

The company has received a great response from arthritis and Raynaud’s sufferers, as well as those who like to exercise outside or feel the cold as they use their laptops and phones.

Making a positive difference

All about doing its bit to help, The Cosy Bear Company extends its empathy to the planet too.

Dedicated to upcycling, it uses recycled materials to prevent them from reaching landfills and to maintain a more sustainable production line.

Big bales of super-soft cashmere are delivered from around the UK, which the company then washes, dries, and checks for defects, before creating using templates and keeping the offcuts for future use.

This, along with its UK-based sourcing, manufacturing and distribution process, plus recycled packaging, shows just how much The Cosy Bear Company wants to have a positive impact.
