IKEA is to host free Easter-themed activities until Sunday, April 14. In Sweden, children celebrate the start of ‘påsk’ (Easter) by painting eggs with patterns and displaying them in their homes, so select IKEA stores are offering the chance to create seasonal ornaments this Easter.

Those looking to put their detective skills to the test can take part in the scavenger hunt, with children – young and old – being challenged to discover the secret location of colourful easter eggs hidden around store. Find all the eggs to crack the secret code and win a prize.

Other fun activities for all the family that are taking place at IKEA during the Easter holidays include:

Easter Wreath Making: A bookable workshop for all ages, giving visitors the chance to come together and hand-make their own Easter wreath to brighten up their front doors.

Decorate an Easter jar: Book a spot in this session to decorate your own Easter inspired jar, to take home and fill with all your Easter goodies.

Easter Egg Decorating: A bookable session where children can express their creativity by decorating their own Easter eggs with colourful paint and pens.

Easter Breakfast: Hop along to IKEA’s customer restaurant to celebrate Easter and meet a special guest, the Easter Bunny! Kids can get involved with some crafty Easter activities whilst enjoying a delicious breakfast dish for just £1.50.

Easter Wreath Making: Bookable slots on a ‘blooming marvellous’ workshop, allowing shoppers to bring sunshine to their door with a beautiful handmade Easter wreath.

IKEA Family members will receive an additional 25% when selling products back to IKEA via the Buyback & Resell now until 30 April.

IKEA Family Members can also make the most of the Swe-Dish Fridays offer, with 50% off some of IKEA’s dishes – including the Meatballs meal for £2.45, and Fish & Chips for £3.45. Plus Children’s Pasta and Tomato Sauce is available for 45p.

Visit IKEA’s events page for information on how to book.
