If there are two things shoppers like it’s an air fryer and a bargain. So it was somewhat inevitable that when Aldi launched a huge 5.5l family version of the cooking gadget last year for a fraction of the price of a similar sized Ninja version, bargain hunters snapped it up within hours going on sale.

Well now the Ambiano air fryer is heading back on sale and it looks like it’ll be even tougher to get hold of, although for lucky shoppers who do nab one it will be even better value than when it was in stock last summer as it’s now just £34.99 rather than £59.99.

The new price tag makes it a fraction of the price of the comparative Ninja AF160UK Max Air Fryer, which has a 5.2L capacity, and is currently £129.99 on Ninja’s website.

The Ambiano digital air fryer previously won fans for its versatility, offering 11 separate presets, a preheat function and a temperature range from 80 to 200 degrees perfect for whipping up energy-efficient and healthy family meals.

It comes with a dishwasher safe frying basket, a full three year warranty and even a digital recipe Book packed with ideas for home chefs not sure where to start with the gadget. Last time they stocked it demand was so high that Aldi restricted online sales to just two per person to try and keep up with demand. However, to get your hands on one this time around shoppers will have to head into store from tomorrow (May 9).

The Aldi air fryer – which serves 4-5 people – is even cheaper than the 5L Tower air fryer, which is currently £49.99 on Amazon, as well as the 5.2L Salter device, which comes in at £44.99 at Robert Dyas.

It’s among a host of other budget alternatives to big name products going on sale as Specialbuys as the next few weeks, with a £12.99 portable blender that at first glance looks similar to Ninja’s Blast which has become popular with fans of smoothies and protein shakes who can blend their drinks on the go.

Previously available to order online, Aldi now only launches its Specialbuys in store, with new products hitting the aisles every Thursday and Sunday while stocks last. Shoppers are able to browse them online on the Friday prior and they remain live online for 2 weeks after.

Shoppers can find out whether an item is available in store by checking the Aldi website.
