With the never-ending march of technological advancement, big TVs have become more and more affordable. Curry’s has taken this fact and run with it by putting out a new deal of theirs slashing the price of an LG smart 4K TV to just £449 which has thousands of five-star reviews.

The LG 55NANO766QA 55″ Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV (or LG Nano76 for short) comes with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa too. It is on sale on Curry’s website for £449.99. You can also get it even cheaper at Argos for £399, however the Curry’s deal comes with an add-on that might just make that extra £50 worthwhile More on that further down).

If you want to watch England in the Euros in style, this TV is the way to do that. The giant 55-inch display means you can invite as many people around as you like to watch the football or just for a movie night and there won’t be any bad seats in the living room.

The LG Nano76 comes with a sleek stand design and slim profile

It uses LG NanoCell technology to make sure the colours are as pure and sharp as they can be, the tech company says. The TV also has “scintillating and atmospheric sound quality with AI Sound Pro” and a good refresh rate of 60Hz. It being a smart TV means that it has access to LG’s WebOS giving you easy access to all your must-have apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime. The smart TV remote has the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa AI tools built into it too so you can even speak commands into this futuristic beast of a TV.

The LG Nano76 has an impressive 4.5-star rating from 5,454 reviews on Curry’s with one shopper writing: “Brilliant TV, has loads of extras easy to install.”

Another said: “Great looking too with a host of apps and an option to connect via a mobile phone app. The picture is very clear and has a range of options for gaming, movies etc.”

One less enthusiastic reviewer gave just two stars for the TV however and wrote: “Sound quality is very disappointing and the picture quality is even worse, bought this to replace our LCD LG TV wishing I hadn’t, poor viewing angle, poor depth of colour, contrast and brightness, the sound is very tinny and looks and appearance is very cheap, not really what you would expect from LG, sorry.”

However, another happy customer said: “Easy to set up and has a crystal clear picture with lots of options to personalise it to your liking, would recommend getting a soundbar as with most these modern TVs the sound is ok but not brilliant.”

Curry’s has taken note of the improvement a sound bar makes for the TV viewing experience and has laid on a second special offer for the LG USC9S 3.1.3 Wireless Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos. Usually, the soundbar is £999 on its own but if you pair it with the LG Nano76 you can get an incredible £500 off – meaning you could pick up the soundbar for just £499. With the TV it would set you back £948 in total.

You can get £500 off this LG soundbar if you buy it in a bundle with the TV

Alternatively, if you want to spend a bit less but not lose any of the screen size, you can get a different 55-inch TV model. John Lewis has you covered here with an even cheaper Panasonic model which also has great reviews. It is the Panasonic TX-55MX600B (2023) LED HDR 4K Ultra HD Smart TV, 55 inch with Freeview Play & Dolby Atmos, Black which costs £399. This is rated 4.4 stars from 161 reviews.

You can buy the LG 55NANO766QA 55″ Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV from Curry’s and Argos. You can get the Panasonic TX-55MX600B (2023) LED HDR 4K Ultra HD Smart TV, 55 inch from John Lewis.
