The Celtic collection and ICC Wales have named Julie Hammond’s new CEO.

With more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Julie now leads Wales’ largest independent hotel group, Celtic Collection, together with the newest Greater General Meeting Center ICC Wales.

Julie last dominated one of the largest hotels in the UK and has held older management positions in several prestigious hospitality properties and groups in the United Kingdom and Europe.

Julie previously served as Property Manager for L+R Hotels, monitoring places such as Chewton Glen, Cliven House and Fairmont Monte Carlo. He also had Ralph Trustes Ltd’s Group Trade Director, who owns London’s Athenaeum and The Grove Hertfordshire.

He also brings the experience of Wales’s hospitality because he has controlled the Voca St David hotel in Cardiff Bay.

During the growing Celtic collection and ICC Wales, Julie is responsible for designing a business strategy and an increase in income and profitability for one of Wales’ largest employers.

He said, “I am pleased to take this opportunity and build an incredible work that has already been done to set up a Celtic collection as Wales’ largest independent hotel group and ICC Wales as the most interesting new congress center in the UK.

Owner Sir Terry Matthews’ vision and honor to grow the group was a special bet for me and I look forward to the development of existing properties and opportunities to continue to expand.

“We have a fantastic team and a unique selection of properties in the Celtic collection that extends over South Wales from Magor to Milford Haven. The luxury escapes at Celtic Manor City Chic at the Cardiff’s Parkgate Hotel and Country Retritis Newbridge in Marina views at Ty Hotel Milford Waterfront and Coastal Spa at the St Brides Hotel, everything is really in the portfolio and the Cathemous goal of our to our guests. “

Julie added: “I am passionate about hospitality and offering seamless, unprecedented service and, ultimately, great memories to our guests. This is something that supports the exciting new service philosophy and people’s culture we start in the Celtic collection. We want to give a passionate and innovative team that has a capable attitude to surprise and delight our guests and raise the bar for the warmest hospitality of Wales. “

Develops from the success of the five-star Celtic Manor Resort-one of the main targets of Europe for luxury, family breaks, golf and business-oriented collection now covers 10 hotels in South Wales and offers a total of 1,217 bedrooms.

Located in the Celtic Manor Resort area, ICC Wales is between the £ 83.7 million joint venture between Celtic Manor and the Welsh government. The only one in Wales and the Southwest Kingdom can host over 5,000 representatives. The event features a 4000 square meter-free main hall, a 1500-seat auditorium, 15 versatile meeting rooms, a double-cream glass attack with scenic views of Coldra Woods, and 2500 square meters of outdoor activities.

Following the opening of 2019, ICC Wales has organized numerous prestigious events such as the United Kingdom Space Conference, the Royal College of Nursing Congress and the National Conference of the National Prime Teachers Association. In 2026, it will make history the first British -Britain venue hosting the WorldChefs Congress and Expo, the world’s largest culinary event.
