Big Mamma is preparing to launch her sixth restaurant in London in June.
The new restaurant, Barbarella, is located in the Canary Wharf corporate district in East Lonto.
The theme of the restaurant in the YY building has inspired the 1970s Rome movie theater. Its interior features Vintage Ferragamo silk, a mirrored glass beam and a 70s-style chrome-plated living area upstairs, with an open kitchen in the heart of the space.
The kitchen is led by Marco Rastelli, born Roma, who offers a daily changing menu with pizzas and homemade pasta, including a new one-meter spaghettone.
The menu also contains Cornish lemon bottom and grilled steaks, which range from Filet to 1.2 kg of t. In addition, the restaurant shows a separate Gelati section.
Opening Barbarella follows Big Mamma’s first regional restaurant, La Bellezza, in Birmingham last November. The group will continue their five London locations, including Gloria, Circolo Popolare and Carlotta ..
Last year, Big Mamma said that all of its London restaurants were “fully booked a month in advance” throughout 2023.
The group said, “Gloria, Circolo Popolare, Ave Mario, Jacuzzi and Carlotta did all the expectations.”
Big Mamma’s success led to Lugger and Seydoux won the Restaurant of the Year award at the 2023 Cateys. The judges thanked the group “magnificent creation of outrageous, burning restaurants” on an ambitious scale, supported by strong financial proxies.
