Aesha Scott is one of the most prominent Below decks stars, and the next season of the series could go without him. Below decks season 3 should be coming soon, with Captain Jason Chambers returning to the helm of the hit Bravo spin-off. However, Aesha worked with Captain Sandy Yawn with Mustique Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 9. There are signs that Aesha is coming back for more Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 10, meaning he couldn’t appear either Below decks.




Below decks season 2 was marred by sexual misconduct. Bosun’s Luke Jones was fired after he tried to assault Margot Sisson in her cabin while she slept. To make matters worse, Laura Bileskalne was fired for her misconduct and doubled down by defending Luke after the show. Captain Jason dealt with the situation quickly and efficiently, but it still left a stain on the Australian cast and crew. Hence, Aesha’s absence could spell trouble for Bravo’s spin-off.


Aesha will not return as the main stew

It is unlikely that Aesha will return to Chief Stew on Below decks because of his appearance Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 9. She and Captain Sandy worked well together, and while there were some issues between Bri Muller and Elena “Ellie” Dubaich, Aesha was able to break up their argument. Aesha also worked with a new stew, Carrie O’Neill, to close out the subscription season.

What can the producers do to make Season 3 a success?

They need entertaining personalities

Bravo producers need to step it up to do that Below decks season 3 on Peacock success. A series often depends on the popularity of its most prominent actors. Losing Chief Stew Aesha is a definite blowbut Captain Jason is a likeable character. The producers need to cast dynamic and entertaining crew members to fill Aesha’s shoes.

Below Deck Down Under can still be saved despite Chief Stew Aesha’s absence.


Also, they need to vet the cast to avoid a situation like last season where two cast members were fired for sexual misconduct. There are safety issues among the cast and crew, and the producers would be wise to focus on those issues. Below decks can survive a season without Aesha, but it’s an uphill battle.
