Amazon shoppers are delighted with what they’re calling a “clever, creative and easy solution” to loud washing machines. The Steady Spin Washing Machine Anti-Vibration Stabilizer Pad is £18.50, and you can also get it for £34.23 at eBay.
The anti-vibration pad claims to solve the common issue of washing machines loudly vibrating without the need for lifting the appliance to level feet. To use it, you just slip the vinyl contraption into the space between your machine and your countertop.
It then inflates thanks to a manual pump, which Steady Spin say is the equivalent of hiring “someone to sit on your machine 24/7 to hold it down”.

The washing machine gadget has 4.3 stars from 2,424 reviews. One person said “Superb item. Now have a very quiet machine with no vibration. Good value for money. Easy to install but do not overinflate.”
