Get a pizza this: Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana have just announced that they will be bringing their doughy, cheesy delights to yet another area of the capital city. The much-loved pizza spot will be setting up shop in Spitalfields and celebrating in the very best way possible – with free pizza, of course. 5,000 of them, to be exact. Because we all know that there ain’t no party like a (free) pizza party.
If the name Rudy’s sounds familiar to you, it may because you follow our dear pals up in Manchester. They are (understandably) die hard fans of the Manchester born-and-bred pizza spot. Alternatively, it might be because back in 2021, Rudy’s finally answered our prayers. They ventured down south and opened a branch in the heart of Soho. Since then, they’ve also opened up restaurants on Shoreditch High Street and Tottenham Court Road. Yes, they truly are the gift that keeps on giving.
Their fourth London-based restaurant will be arriving in Spitalfields in March. And if that in itself isn’t good news enough, they’re commemorating the new opening with a whopping 5,000 free pizzas. All you need to do is sign up on their website to nab yourself one of the freebies. Easy peasy, lemon tomato (?!) squeezy.
Born out of a passion for pizza, Rudy’s follows the authentic Neapolitan pizza-making method which is renowned for its consistency and quality. Rudy’s Spitalfields will offer classic recipes such as Marinara, Margherita and Calabrese (all originating from Naples) as well as some slightly less traditional (but equally as delicious) specials.
So what makes Rudy’s pizza so lip-smackingly, cult-formingly good, I hear you ask? Well, to start with, their dough is made fresh each day using Caputo ‘00’ flour which has been left to ferment for at least 24 hours. Their fine ingredients are imported twice a week from Naples, meaning you’re getting pretty damn close to an authentic Italian pizza-eating experience. Not bad, hey?
Staying true to their authentic Neapolitan roots, Rudy’s Spitalfields will also be equipped with a well-stocked bar. Expect them to be serving up iconic Italian spritzes, crisp Italian Poretti, and classic cocktails. Belissimo!
Commenting on the new opening, Neal Bates of Rudy’s Pizza, said: “We’re delighted to share our authentic Neapolitan pizzas with the thriving Spitalfields neighbourhood, joining a host of incredible global food options in the area. We can’t wait to open our doors in March and give the city an opportunity to experience our authentic pizzas first hand at no expense, with 5,000 free pizzas available.”
