Libraries across the borough are offering a packed programme of activities for all ages, including workshops, storytime sessions, arts and crafts, and author visits.
The celebrations begin with a tea and coffee morning at St Ann’s Library on March 6, from 10am to 12pm, where visitors can learn more about the month’s events.
Children aged five and above can join a portrait arts and crafts session at Hornsey Library on March 9, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, creating artwork inspired by ‘amazing women.’
Muswell Hill Library will host a Frida Kahlo-themed drawing session for children aged three and above on March 10, from 3.45pm to 4.45pm.
St Ann’s Library will offer a session where children can depict their favourite female icon on March 16, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

Storytime sessions at Muswell Hill Library will celebrate the lives of pioneering women, including aviator Amelia Earhart on March 11, and Hampstead-born chimpanzee expert Jane Goodall on March 25, both from 11am to 11.30am for children aged two to five.
Hornsey Library will host a ‘Give to Gain’ mind-mapping and self-care workshop on March 13, from 1pm to 3pm, led by Celena McDaniel from The Lupus Hub. The session will focus on how women can nurture themselves in order to care for others.
A crochet workshop will take place at Marcus Garvey Library on March 17, from 10am to 1pm, with all materials provided. Author events also feature in the programme.
On March 5, Farrah Riaz will visit St Ann’s Library for a World Book Day reading of her picture book ‘Twirly Wiggly Dance’ from 10.30am to 11.15am.
Dr Velma McClymont will speak at Hornsey Library on March 28, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, discussing the women who have inspired her writing and her latest book, ‘Sentimental Journey and Other Stories.’
Other family-friendly events include a storytime session featuring popular characters such as Maisy Mouse, Peppa Pig, and the Very Hungry Caterpillar at Muswell Hill Library on March 4, from 11am to 11.30am.
Arts and crafts sessions will also take place at Hornsey Library and Marcus Garvey Library on March 5, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
