Is there anything better than free food? (Don’t answer that – it’s a rhetorical question.) Amidst London’s deluge of expensive places to dine, we love finding cheap spots to eat. But we love it even more when we find out about a massive food giveaway – especially when it’s a beloved burger brand giving away 1,000s of free burgers!
Next month, on December 3, Honest Burgers will give away 100 free Double Smashed Cheeseburgers at every single one of their restaurants. With 42 locations to their name (and 9 more set to open soon!), the UK-wide giveaway will see the burger brand handing out a whopping 4,200 free burgers. And what’s a burger without chips? Each free burger will also come with a portion of their signature rosemary salted chips.
It’s set to be an expensive month… Christmas is already a blowout capitalistic affair, not to mention the old friends who crawl out of the woodwork to invite you out for festive brunches and dinners. Plus, since the weather is so miserable, we’re buying more than our usual number of coffees and sweet treats from local cafes. So, naturally, we’re looking for any way we can scrimp and save a few pennies. And a free lunch from Honest Burgers is sure to help!
How to get a free burger
The giveaway will take place on December 3, from open. The free burgers will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis to both dine-in and takeaway customers.
All you have to do is be among the first 100 people to turn up at your local Honest Burgers venue when it opens. The restaurants will issue tickets numbered 1 to 100 to the first customers in line from the moment they open their doors.
Get a ticket, and you’ll get a free burger and chips! It’s as simple as that.
Don’t sweat if you miss out, though, as Honest Burgers will also give customers the opportunity to sign up for a £5 voucher to spend in January 2026.
